In 2016, 77% of Canadian youth aged 12 to 17 perceived their mental health to be very good or excellent.
That percentage varied from 71% in Newfoundland & Labrador to 85% in Prince Edward Island.
In Canada overall, 79% of males aged 12 to 17 reported that their mental health was very good or excellent as did 76% of females.
