In 2012-2013, 91% of Canadian children aged 5 to 9 were not obese, as were 87% of 10 to 14 year olds and 82% of 15 to 17 year olds.
The percentage of 5 to 9 year olds who were obese declined from 2009-2011, while the proportion of 10 to 14 year olds and 15 to 17 year olds increased in that time period.
However, the vast majority of Canadian children are not obese.
