Breast pain, pain in the vaginal area or in the area of the cesarean incision, back pain, urinary incontinence, pain during sex and hemorrhoids were most frequently mentioned postpartum health problems

In 2006/07, 42% of women who had given birth within the previous 3 months reported that they had a significant health problem.

This varied from 24% in Nunavut and 29% in Prince Edward Island to 46% in Québec.
